ASICS Los Angeles Marathon’s Professional Wheelchair Race Returns for 2026

California Rehabilitation Foundation empowers the physical disability community as presenting partners of the Professional Wheelchair Division
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (February 17, 2026) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – The ASICS Los Angeles Marathon’s Athletes with Disabilities and Professional Wheelchair Division, presented by California Rehabilitation Foundation and The McCourt Foundation, will once again highlight world-class competition and resilience as elite wheelchair athletes take to the streets of Los Angeles on Sunday, March 8.
The professional wheelchair race, starting at 6:30 a.m. at Dodger Stadium, features some of the world’s fastest wheelchair racers. These athletes will navigate a 26.2-mile course through Downtown Los Angeles, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and into Century City, where they will cross the finish line on Santa Monica Boulevard at Avenue of the Stars. The event continues to be a showcase for adaptive athletes, reinforcing the marathon’s commitment to inclusivity and high-performance competition.
Key organizations dedicated to rehabilitation, adaptive athletics, and disability advocacy come together to support the event, including California Rehabilitation Foundation, California Rehabilitation Institute, Hanger Orthotics, Artists for Trauma, and California State University Northridge’s College of Health and Human Development.

Beyond the competition, this year’s event will feature a special finish-line performance by The Rollettes, a renowned wheelchair dance team known for their global performances.

ABOUT THE ASICS LOS ANGELES MARATHON AND LA 5K
The ASICS Los Angeles Marathon is Los Angeles’ largest and longest-running community sporting event. On March 8, 2026, the race will welcome over 26,000 runners starting at Dodger Stadium and finishing the 26.2-mile Stadium-to-the-Stars Course near Avenue of the Stars in Century City. Also included in the Marathon Weekend events are the LA 5K on Saturday, March 7 and the marathon’s two-day Lifestyle Expo held at Dodger Stadium March 6 and 7.
