Application Period Open for UltraRunning’s 2026 Old School Ultras

Bend, OR /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – UltraRunning Magazine has opened the application period for the 2026 Old School Ultras race calendar. Events will be chosen based on their history, community of volunteers and race organizers, support of small businesses and exemplary effort in trail maintenance and environmental stewardship, representing the unique culture of our sport.

Previously chosen races are a collection of legendary events that have stood the test of time and represent the ethos of ultrarunning, including Cascade Crest 100, HURT 100, JFK 50, Waldo 100k, Ice Age Trail 50 and more.

Old School Ultras was created to honor race organizations who cultivate an encouraging, supportive event. What connects our inaugural collection of races is their longevity (20+ years), culture, character, strong community, as well as being a single distance ultra event.
