Elite Draft‑Legal Race Developed in Partnership with USA TRI

/ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Alpha Win is proud to announce the addition of the USA TRI Sprint Cup, an elite draft‑legal sprint race, to the 2026 Big Apple Triathlon, taking place October 10, 2026, in New York City. This new race format is in partnership with USA TRI, and brings a high‑performance competitive pathway to one of the nation’s most iconic triathlon venues.

The USA Tri Sprint Cup is designed for professional, collegiate, junior elite, and emerging athletes seeking advancement within the sport. The race will feature a draft‑legal format consistent with international elite competition, offering athletes a fast, tactical, and dynamic racing experience.

Athletes competing in the USA Tri Sprint Cup will start ahead of the age‑group field and will race with separate bibs from the other divisions. The event will follow draft‑legal rules to mirror the standards of top‑tier global competition.

Results from the USA Tri Sprint Cup will be eligible for USA Triathlon’s priority ranking system. For athletes who do not yet hold World Triathlon points, performances may be submitted as part of the evaluation process used to determine priority entry into future draft‑legal World Triathlon events.
