Race #2 Set for July 13 with a Red, White & Blue “Rock Party in the USA” Theme

Clermont, FL – July 8, 2025 /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/  — Clermont will once again take center stage in the world of multi-sport racing as the AdventHealth Cool Sommer Mornings Triathlon-Duathlon-Aquabike-5K Series celebrates its 40th season this summer.

Race #2 of the four-part series takes place this Sunday, July 13, at Waterfront Park, featuring a festive “Rock Party in the USA” theme just in time for summer celebrations. Athletes and spectators alike are encouraged to dress in red, white, and blue and show off their patriotic spirit.

Hosted by Sommer Sports Events, this long-running Clermont tradition is one of the oldest multi-sport series in the nation and draws participants from across Florida and beyond. Each race offers a variety of distances and race types, including:

• Sprint and Intermediate Distance Triathlon, Duathlon, and Aquabike
• Aquathlon (swim-run)
• 5K Run/Walk
• Sprint Triathlon Relay

“We’re proud to have called Clermont home for over 40 years of triathlon racing,” said Fred Sommer, founder of Sommer Sports. “The Cool Sommer Mornings Series is a summer tradition that brings the community together, whether you’re racing, volunteering, or cheering from the sidelines.”

All events take place at Clermont’s Waterfront Park, which has become known as a World Triathlon Destination, having hosted more than 200 triathlons over the past four decades. Its scenic lakefront course and supportive local atmosphere make it a favorite among beginners and elite athletes alike.

Participants who complete all four races this season—either in person or virtually—will earn a special 40th anniversary bonus medal.
