Fuel Goods and The Realistic Runner Launch “Every Woman’s Fuel Fund” to Empower Undersupported Marathoners

ASHEVILLE, NC /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ Fuel Goods, the sports nutrition platform revolutionizing how real athletes fuel, has partnered with Makenzie “Mak” Rink AKA The Realistic Runner to launch the Every Woman’s Fuel Fund—a powerful new initiative supporting three women training for November’s Every Woman’s Marathon in Scottsdale, AZ.

This campaign is rooted in one core belief: every woman deserves the support she needs to show up fully on race day. Too often, nutrition guidance is inaccessible, confusing, or built for elite runners alone. The Fuel Fund flips that script.

From August 6-10, women across the U.S. can apply by sharing their stories through a short questionnaire on what training has looked like, how fueling fits in (or doesn’t), and what support could unlock for them. Three winners will be selected and announced on August 13th.

Each recipient will receive:

• A custom fueling plan created by Fuel Goods experts
• Full fuel support for 3 months of training and race day
• Monthly check-ins with Mak and the Fuel Goods team
• A custom race kit and other surprises
• A celebratory dinner in Scottsdale the weekend of the race with Mak

“Fueling can make or break your race, but for a lot of women, it’s been overlooked or overcomplicated,” says Fuel Goods co-founder Courteney Lowe. “We created this fund to change that—to provide guidance, access, and support that helps women feel empowered in their training and confident on race day.”

This collaboration creates a rare opportunity to invest directly in that journey—and spotlight three deserving runners along the way.

Applicants must follow both @fuel_goods and @the.realistic.runner on Instagram and complete a short Typeform application. Winners will be chosen based on authenticity, need, and alignment with the shared mission of making endurance sport more inclusive.
