Finish Strong Foundation Ranks High In Bank of America Boston Marathon Official Charity Program Fundraising

Dave McGillivray’s charity raises over $300,000, ranks in top 30

BOSTON, Mass. (May 13, 2025) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – The Dave McGillivray Finish Strong Foundation made its debut in the 2025 Bank of America Boston Marathon Official Charity Program, and rose quickly into the highest fundraising organizations. Team Finish Strong generated over $314,000 and ranked 29th in most funds raised among the 288 charities that generated donations through runners participating in the marathon. The Finish Strong Foundation was among the 176 of those nonprofits selected for the 2025 Bank of America Boston Marathon Official Charity Program.

“I marked my 53rd Boston Marathon finish this year, and our foundation kicked off our first year as an official charity with the race,” said Dave McGillivray, president of the Finish Strong Foundation. “It’s amazing to see what my fellow members of Team Finish Strong were able to do together – raising our largest total to date for any charity running program we’ve taken part in. No goal is achieved alone, and it was amazing to fundraise and run alongside them.”

“Our charity runners remain a key source of support for our foundation and its initiatives,” said Laurita Kaigler-Crawlle, executive director of the Finish Strong Foundation. “We hope to continue this relationship with the Bank of America Boston Marathon Official Charity Program, and to see more and more impact generated from this collaboration!”

29 runners elected to be a part of Team Finish Strong as they trained for and completed the Bank of America Boston Marathon this year. The Finish Strong Foundation is also an official charity partner for the United Airlines New York City Half Marathon, Big Sur International Marathon, the ASICS Falmouth Road Race, the Bank of America Chicago Marathon, and the TCS New York City Marathon. Over 75 runners are expected to be a part of Team Finish Strong this year through these events. To date, Team Finish Strong has raised over $352,000 this year to support the foundation’s programs and operations.
