STAFFORDSHIRE, UK /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – XTERRA Weston Park returned May 3-4 for its third edition, stepping into the spotlight as stop 3 of the 2025 XTERRA World Cup.
Felix Forissier (FRA) claimed his second straight win of the season, taking the men’s Elite title in 2:27:05 with a blistering 36:31 run split. “The run was so fast—I had a lot of pleasure to race here,” said Forissier. “That’s where I made my move.” Will Draper (GBR) thrilled the home crowd with a strong second-place finish in 2:29:01, followed by Arthur Forissier (FRA) in 2:29:48 after setting the fastest bike split of the day.
In the women’s race, Alizée Paties (FRA) remained unbeaten in 2025 with a dominant performance in 2:45:22. “I had to make up a lot of time between myself and Aneta and Isla,” said Paties. “I managed the bike to save energy so I could run fast.” Aneta Grabmüller (CZE) led much of the race after a strong 18:32 swim and solo ride but was caught on the run, finishing second in 2:49:03. Great Britain’s Isla Hedley (GBR) rounded out the podium in 2:51:15 after leading out of the water with an 18:29 split.
The XTERRA Youth Tour continued Saturday with standout performances across all three divisions. Oliver Goodman (GBR) and Shauna Hamilton (GBR) won Youth A, with Hamilton making a late surge on the run. In Youth B, Finlay Goodman (GBR) held off Ben Allen (GBR) in a hard-fought battle to the finish. “I knew the others were strong, so I just kept going once the gap opened up,” said Goodman. Rebecca van Aardt (GBR) took the Youth B girls’ title with a consistent performance, while Junior winner Iwan Froley (GBR) summed it up: “XTERRA is just a fun environment to be racing. The atmosphere is great, the people are nice, and I always enjoy it.”
Sunday’s Full Distance race featured strong performances across the age group field, with four athletes standing out among a large field of champions. Matthew Hann (GBR) was the first age grouper to cross the line, successfully defending his men’s 30-34 title. Iain Robertson (GBR) improved on last year’s result to win the men’s 50-54 division. On the women’s side, Marion Tuin (NLD) impressed in her XTERRA debut with a win in the 40-44 category, while Harriet Haywood (GBR) repeated as champion in the 30-34 division.
With event support from the Weston Park Foundation, Always Aim High Events, and Eventrex UK, the weekend blended competition with community in a setting designed for both speed and connection. From the XTERRA Youth Tour to the World Cup alongside first-timers and seasoned age groupers, Weston Park once again offered an off-road adventure space where athletes of all levels could challenge themselves, support one another, and share the moment together.
