Warner Bros. and DC Announce the First-Ever DC Batman 5K Night Run/Walk and Ultimate Fan Experience for Batman 80th Anniversary

Fans Invited to a Super Hero-Style Celebration

BURBANK, Calif. and FARGO, N.D. (May 9, 2019) – The DC Batman 5K Run/Walk and ultimate fan experience will celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the #1 Super Hero in the world. The run/walk will be held on Batman Day, September 21, and kick-off at dusk at Los Angeles, California’s Grand Park. The 5K is one of the many special events for Batman’s 80th Anniversary celebration that Warner Bros. and DC is hosting this year, giving Batman fans of all ages the opportunity to read, watch, shop, and experience all things inspired by the Dark Knight.

Coming off of the success of the DC Wonder Woman Run Series which saw more than 20,000 participants in 2018, SON Events has set the stage for a spectacular DC Batman 5K. Registrants will receive an exclusive Batman race attire kit and enjoy a pre-race expo and post-race finish line festival with live entertainment, plus complimentary photos with Batman. Additional Batman-branded apparel and accessories will also be available for purchase. The race course will wind through some of the City’s most iconic landmarks and tunnels, and finish at beautiful Grand Park. All DC Batman Run finishers will receive a limited edition 80th Anniversary finisher’s medal to commemorate their accomplishment and the celebration of Batman.
