An exciting partnership for the company behind Unit Rinse, the market's first carb rinse
Unit Nutrition is proud to announce a new partnership with the current Ironman world record holder, three time Olympian and four time ITU World Champion, Tim Don. The Brit is one of the most familiar faces on the professional triathlon circuit, with a long list of wins and podiums to his name across all distances of triathlon, and big goals still to come.
An advocate of the science behind carb-rinsing, Tim has experienced firsthand how Unit Rinse is a game-changer for any athlete in a training or race setting.
“It especially helps me during some of my big power sessions on the bike, which are a bit shorter, and almost every swim session,” he says, of his favourite sessions to carb-rinse. “I first learned of Unit Nutrition towards the end of my 2018 season. I always do some research about new products and why people use them, and I was intrigued when I learned about other triathletes benefitting from Unit Rinse.”
Tim has an exciting 2019 season planned, and Unit Nutrition looks forward to supporting him throughout the year.
“I’ll start early at Ironman South Africa and carry my winter miles through to the 2019 Ironman World Championship,” he says. “I will also be building towards short course speed with a British paratriathlete as we aim to qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics, where I hope to be his guide. It’s a busy year but I bloody love it!”
Of the partnership, Unit Nutrition’s founder and CEO Julia Bechtolsheimer says, “We’re thrilled that Tim is joining the Unit team. He’s an extremely accomplished triathlete, a coach and an all-around fantastic ambassador of the sport. Partnering with Tim will help us further our commitment to product innovation by integrating athlete feedback, and we know that in helping Tim towards his 2019 goals, we’re taking a big leap forward as a young company working towards our own.”
