The Music Run™, Growing Rapidly, Enters U.S. With Eventbrite as Exclusive Registration Partner

Eventbrite named as official registration partner for The Music Run™ U.S. events; Los Angeles registration now open with more than 20 cities expected to be announced

Today, The Music Run™, an immersive 5k fun running experience that puts music at its heart, announced that Eventbrite, the world’s largest self-service ticketing and registration platform, will be the exclusive ticketing and event management platform for its U.S. events. With this partnership, Eventbrite will begin handling registration for The Music Run with the Los Angeles event on January 9, 2016.

The Music Run™ had their largest event to date this month in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where 15,000 participants took to the Sepang International Circuit, transforming it from a picturesque Formula 1 racing track to a pumping 5km ‘Sound Track’, breaking the national record for the largest 5k running event in the process.

Created by Fresh Events Global, The Music Run™ was first held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2014. By the end of 2015, the event will be experienced by more than 100,000 participants across 12 events and 9 countries from Singapore to Hamburg, Germany. With an established following in Asia, 2016 will see further global expansion with events planned across Europe, North America, the Middle East and Africa.

Set over 5k, participants at The Music Run™ run through five different zones that each represents a different genre of music. In the lead up to the event, runners are encouraged to ‘Play DJ’ and help decide the music they want to listen to in each zone via a bespoke music selection mechanic created in conjunction with digital music partner, Spotify. Participants can listen to the songs in each playlist and the more a song is voted for and shared on Facebook, the more likely it is to end up as one of the top songs played during the run. Speakers line the entire course (aka ‘The Sound Track’) every 40m, creating a truly immersive and interactive music experience. The run ends with live performances from artists at the finish zone Music Festival.
