CHANHASSEN, Minn. (April 23, 2014) – As Life Time – The Healthy Way of Life Company continues to grow its Athletic Events and Media portfolio, the company has announced the hiring of Scott Nenninger and Rebecca McKinnon, two of the endurance sports industry’s top sales professionals, to the National Sponsorship and Integrated Media Sales Team. Nenninger and McKinnon previously worked on the National Sponsorship Sales team at Competitor Group, Inc. (CGI).
In conjunction with the recent acquisition of the U.S. Road Sports properties and plans to continuing to grow national events such as Commitment Day, Life Time is once again making industry waves in positioning the company’s athletic events series as a point of focus for corporate growth.
“Both in our 109 Life Time destinations and at our more than 75 athletic events held across the country, Life Time is committed to enriching our members’ experiences by leveraging unique product offerings of like-minded partners with a genuine interest in supporting the Healthy Way of Life,” said Al Iverson, President of Media and Events at Life Time. “While our current partners have led the way in this area, there is room for more and by bringing Nenninger and McKinnon on board, we are confident that we will create higher-impact programs that will benefit our members and event participants.”
Nenninger has been named Senior Director of National Sponsorship & Integrated Media Sales. He spent the first 15 years of his career in the experiential agency world and most recently worked with CGI helping to grow brands including The Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series, TriRock Triathlon Series and Women’s Running Series via non-endemic sponsor support.
McKinnon, who has been named Director of National Sponsorship & Integrated Media Sales at Life Time, was with CGI for more than five years, selling national integrated programs to Fortune 1000 companies, helping usher brands like Westin, MilkPEP, Dodge and GEICO into the endurance world.
