October 16, 2015 – RunSignUp has released full videos of presentations from their 2015 Race Director/Timer Symposium in July. In keeping with the RunSignUp philosophy of openness and industry collaboration, the videos are available free and publicly on their website and their Youtube channel. The videos can be viewed whole, or broken down by area of discussion. To supplement the videos, presentation slides can also be viewed on the RunSignUp Slideshare account.
The RunSignUp Race Director/Timer Symposium is an annual gathering of Race Directors, Timers, Running Stores, and Running Club Leaders in Philadelphia each summer. While the Symposium highlights RunSignUp technology and introduces new RunSignUp innovations, it is largely customer-led, highly interactive, and focuses on the sharing of information to drive better endurance events regardless of technology provider. The video content from the 2015 Symposium includes presentations from Marketing Guru Steve Lackey (Endurance Magazine and SPORToften.com), Dee Stathis, COO of the Pittsburgh 3 Rivers Marathon, fundraising leader Sharon Francis from Aut2Run, and representatives from two Running Specialty Stores of the Year: Andy Marsh from Playmakers, Andy Harris from Columbus Running Company. Topics covered include:
- RunSignUp Technology Now and in the Future (Bob Bickel, RunSignUp Founder)
- Marketing Techniques to Grow Your Race (Steve Lackey)
- Building a Year Round Community to Grow Your Race (Dee Stathis)
- The Synthesis of Races, Stores, and Training (Andy Marsh)
- Technology, Packet Pickup, and Creating a Brand (Andy Harris)
- Donations and Fundraising(Sharon Francis)
For dedicated viewers, RunSignUp’s physical embodiment, Ron Synup, makes an appearance in most of the 41 video segments. Anyone able to find Ron in 5 or more videos can earn a RunSignUp prize by emailing screenshots for each cameo.
Registration for the 3rd Annual Symposium will open on RunSignUp in early 2016.
