Moorestown, NJ – RunSignup has released a major update to their RaceInsights analytics tool: the addition of Custom Source Tracking. The new capability allows race directors to track registrations, donations, and total transaction dollars value to a unique source, such as a specific email, Facebook ad, sponsor website, or even an expo booth.
“RaceInsights is built specifically to make marketing and promotion easier for race directors,” said Bob Bickel, RunSignUp Founder and CEO. “Races can quickly see which efforts are producing results, allowing them to refine their marketing and promotion efforts to target the programs producing the best results.”
The latest release builds on the initial power of RaceInsights, which gave race directors data to determine the underlying source of every click, registration, and transaction on their race site. Actions on the race site were attributed to the site that referred them, such as Google or Facebook. Emails that were sent from within the RunSignUp email marketing platform were also shown as sources of traffic and actions. The release of Custom Source Tracking means that races can see their referrals in a more granular way: for example, instead of attributing registrations to Facebook in general they can be tied to a specific Facebook Ad. In doing so, races can track their marketing dollars with specificity.
Additionally, the tool provides easy calculation of a race director’s Return on Investment when they enter marketing costs associated with the source (for example, the amount spent on the Facebook Ad).
