INDIANAPOLIS (January 9, 2019) The 500 Festival, a nonprofit organization providing life-enriching events and programs that celebrate the spirit and legacy of the Indianapolis 500®, today announced a partnership with Runcoach to provide participants of the OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon, 500 Festival 5K, or the 500 Festival Miler Series, presented by OrthoIndy, with free online training programs.
There’s no better way to kick start a new year than with a new training program! The Runcoach free training service combines a dynamic application with personalized training programs for Indy Mini & Miler Series Trainees. On average, trainees improve finishing times by 7% and the program also offers a fun rewards program (sponsored by Garmin and others) throughout the user’s training journey.
Registered participants can access the free training programs on our website. Participants also have the option to upgrade to Runcoach Gold to get the training programs plus support of certified coaches for $19.95.
The OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon is sponsored by OneAmerica, Franciscan Health and Meijer. The Mini-Marathon will be broadcast to the Indianapolis market on WTHR, Channel 13. To register for the OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon, or to learn more, visit www.indymini.com or search #IndyMini on social media.
The 500 Festival Miler Series, presented by OrthoIndy, consists of three running / walking events at three unique distances, a 3-Miler, 6-Miler and 10-Miler. The 2019 Miler Series will kick off on Saturday, February 9 with the 3-Miler. The timing of the races coincides with a typical 12-week training program for a spring distance race, such as the OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon.
