Kinetic Multisports hosts more than 50 triathlons and other multisport events across five states.
DURHAM, North Carolina — Registration is now open for the 2019 season of racing with Kinetic Multisports, which hosts events in five states on the East Coast.
After a strong 2018 despite weather challenges, Kinetic Multisports has expanded its slate of races yet again. With more than 50 races on offer, 2019 is poised to be the biggest season yet for the series that started in 2005. Kinetic Multisports is one of the largest U.S.-owned triathlon series on the market and hosted 13,500 athletes in 2018.
“Our team loves the sport and we are excited to grow once again with the addition of new races, formats, and people,” Kinetic Multisports owner Greg Hawkins said. “We are doubling down at all our races to deliver the best race possible and grow the sport of triathlon. We cannot wait to see athletes on the starting line in 2019.”
The 2019 season will kick off April 6 at the Smithfield Sprint in Virginia, a favorite early-season test of fitness for many triathletes. From there, the schedule includes numerous races in five states — Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. Many of their signature weekends feature Long-Course and Olympic races on Saturday and Sprint races on Sunday, which gives advanced athletes the opportunity to race two days in a row. Novice athletes benefit from shorter courses and the opportunity to preview the venues.
