Registration Now Open for the 2022 BMW Dallas Marathon Festival

The Ultimate Running Weekend, Offering an Event for the Entire Family

(DALLAS)/ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – On your mark. Get set. Go! Registration for the 2022 BMW Dallas Marathon Festival weekend is officially open. Marathon organizers are hoping to break attendance records by making this year’s race weekend a destination for athletes and families of all ages and experience.

“The BMW Dallas Marathon Weekend isn’t only a time for running enthusiasts, but also an experience for friends and family to get outside and enjoy an amazing weekend with 11 events to choose from,” said Paul Lambert, president of runDallas. “The Dallas Marathon is a longstanding tradition in North Texas and we’re extremely excited to bring our community together this December. We want to thank our participants, volunteers, sponsors, partners and the City of Dallas for their support in hosting the BMW Dallas Marathon Festival.”

The annual BMW Dallas Marathon, Half Marathon and 50K Ultra Marathon will run on Sunday, Dec. 11. The 10K, 5K, 5K Team Challenge, Kids 100M Dash and Oncor Kids Race will be held on Saturday, Dec. 10, and the Friday Night Lights Mile will return on Friday, Dec. 9. There will also be BMW Fall Fun Runs in October to help participants prep for race weekend. Some of the highlights this year include the Pegasus Cheer Zone and 5K Team Challenge on Saturday. There will be an incredibly merry holiday atmosphere, and to top it all off, BMW will be giving away a new vehicle to lucky participant again this year!

The weekend of events will begin Friday, Dec. 9, with the Health and Wellness Expo at Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, where participants can pick up packets and have the opportunity to collect information and merchandise from running, fitness and health-related vendors. Admission into the expo is free and runs through Saturday.

Participants are encouraged to register now for the lowest price of the year through May. Prices will increase throughout the summer and fall.

New this year, the BMW Weekend Series will now include 3 events over 3 days, and Series participants will earn a bonus medal, custom ASICS finisher jacket, along with 3 finisher medals, long sleeve participant and finisher shirts, 3 post-race parties, and a 2 day health and fitness expo.

This year’s race weekend will directly benefit Scottish Rite for Children. Since being named as the primary beneficiary in 1997, the Dallas Marathon has donated more than $4 million to the hospital.
