About Endurance Exchange
USA Triathlon and TBI are introducing Endurance Exchange in an effort to grow, inspire and support the triathlon community by collaboratively hosting the nation’s largest experiential triathlon summit where everyone within the multisport community can learn; share best practices, trends and innovations; network; and collaborate. All sessions and most ancillary events will take place at ASU 365 Community Union (Sun Devil Stadium) at Arizona State University.
The event combines several pre-existing industry conferences into one. It replaces the TBI Annual Conference, which was originally scheduled for the same dates in Tempe, and also encompasses the USA Triathlon Race Director Summit and Art & Science of Triathlon International Coaching Symposium.
The conference will feature a dynamic lineup of expert presenters from across the multisport industry, as well as interactive roundtable sessions and networking events. Distinct content tracks will be offered for race directors, coaches and retailers, while a general track will cover trends and topics applicable to all stakeholders within the sport.
In addition to Romano, featured speakers include Drs. Lisa Ingarfield and Sara Gross, founders of the Outspoken: Women in Triathlon Summit, who will speak about diversity, equity and inclusion in triathlon; Austin McInerny, former President and current Chair of the Advisory Council for the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA), who will discuss growing youth participation in endurance sports; and exercise scientist Dr. Matt Pahnke, who will present on fueling and performance.
Acclaimed triathlon coaches Brian Grasky, Susan Sotir, Matt Valyo and Jim Vance, and veteran race directors Gabriela Gallegos, Eric Opdyke and Eva Solomon, will present on various topics to help fellow coaches and race directors improve their businesses and grow the sport as a whole.
Race directors, coaches and officials in attendance will gain Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to further their professional development. In addition, USA Triathlon Race Director and Coaching certifications and recertifications will be offered in Tempe in the lead-up to the event from Jan. 21-22. For more information about certifications, email [email protected] (coaches) and [email protected] (race directors).
Additional events taking place in Tempe in conjunction with Endurance Exchange include a USA Triathlon Partner Summit, a USA Triathlon-sanctioned aquathlon race, a USA Triathlon Foundation Fantasy Camp with the Project Podium squad, and “A Celebration of Sport — An Evening to Encourage, Inspire and Ignite — Benefiting the USA Triathlon Foundation,” which will include the USA Triathlon Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.
More details on ancillary events, session topics and presenters — including a second keynote speaker — will be shared in the coming weeks. For more information about Endurance Exchange and to register before the Oct. 13 price increase, visit enduranceexchange.com.
