Olympian and World Champion Triathlete to Race the 2020 American Triple-T fueled by INFINIT

October 30, 2019

Team INFINIT Pro Triathlete Andy Potts announced the addition of the American Triple-T to his spring race schedule.

Cincinnati, OH, October 30, 2019 – INFINIT Nutrition and HFP Racing are excited to announce the attendance of professional triathlete and world champion, Andy Potts at the American Triple-T and TOUGHMAN Ohio fueled by INFINIT, which is set to take place in Central Ohio on the last weekend of May 2020.

Potts will be the featured Pro Athlete for the race weekend, giving athletes the chance to meet and race alongside the Olympian and 70.3 World Champion.  A celebratory meet and greet will also be hosted by INFINIT on Friday evening following the first of the four races.

This will be Andy Potts’ first time racing the infamously grueling American Triple-T. After 15 years of racing at the professional level, and conquering some of the most intense races triathlon has to offer, Potts is primed and ready to take on this three-day bucket list race.

The American Triple-T race course is notorious for being hilly and extremely challenging. The nature of the race is unique, in that finishing times mean nothing. Simply finishing means everything.

Having heard rumors about the historic Triple-T course, Potts shares why he decided to race: “My training partner constantly raves about how grueling and fun this race is. He talks about the camaraderie shared amongst all of the participants and it really sounds like how triathlon used to be and what drew me into the sport. I can’t wait to share in what will be an unforgettable weekend with so many great athletes and friends.”

2020 will mark the 16th year that the American Triple-T has been held. Over the years the event has developed an almost cult-like following that continues to attract athletes from more than 40 states and 5 countries each year.

Athletes have the option to partake in a single race or go all-in by doing the entire weekend of racing, ranging from a super-sprint triathlon on Friday, two challenging races on Saturday, and capping off with a half distance on Sunday.

INFINIT entered into a full partnership with HFP Racing in 2019 and was named the Title Sponsor and Official On-Course Nutrition for the American Triple-T and TOUGHMAN Ohio. They plan to bring the heat again in 2020 with many other big name athletes in attendance, including a number of Team INFINIT pros who will be racing throughout the weekend.
