velofix, North America’s largest fleet of Mobile Bike Shops, is now operating in the NY Metro Area, bringing premium cycling repair, service, and sales to road cyclists, mountain bikers, daily commuters, triathletes, and suburban cruisers alike.
September 21, 2017 – With the growing number of cycling enthusiasts in the NY Metro Area, new franchise owner Victor van Eijk has partnered with velofix to bring Mobile Bike Shops to the NY Metro area. Victor says, “The NY metro area has so much to offer for riders of all sorts: from the 9W to The Triangle, from Sprain Ridge Park to Cunningham Trail Park. We are very excited to be part of this awesome cycling community.”
For customers buying bikes online, velofix New York Metro mechanics Gregory Benning and Christopher Diaz will assemble and facilitate delivery so customers can be confident in owning a bike that both fits well and operates safely and smoothly. In addition to last-mile delivery and service, the company makes it possible for consumers to buy a wide range of category-leading products including Continental tires; components from SRAM, Shimano, Campagnolo and FOX; as well as accessories from brands such as Garmin, Fi’zi:k, Lezyne and Park Tool.
Chris Guillemet, CEO and Co-Founder of velofix, says “We are very excited to have found the right partners to launch with in the NY Metro area. There has been a substantial demand from cyclists, corporate clients and events for our services in the region, so we’re thrilled to initially launch two Mobile Shops to fill demand”. The addition of these NY Area Mobile Shops allows us to have key Eastern US markets covered with vans in Philadelphia, Boston, Rhode Island, Chicago, Indianapolis, Detroit, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Florida, Atlanta, and Washington, DC.
Customers will be able to book service and sales visits from the NY Metro area velofix Mobile Bike Shop through velofix’s website (www.velofix.com), or by calling 1-855-VELOFIX. velofix Metro New York’s fully-equipped Mercedes Sprinter vans will travel to customers’ homes and offices in Brooklyn, Westchester County, Nassau County and Fairfield County, providing quick and convenient service on-site.
Founded with a passion for cycling, Mobile Bike Shop fleet velofix was launched in Vancouver in 2012 by Chris Guillemet, Boris Martin, and Davide Xausa, who all share that passion for cycling and the common belief that bicycles can help change the world.
