Mount to Coast Hires Running Shoe Veteran Mike Ambrose as Global Product Line Manager

Ambrose is committed to helping the Hong Kong-based company remain tightly focused on building shoes for athletes’ needs

HONG KONG (October 1, 2026) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Mount to Coast is pleased to announce that running shoe veteran Mike Ambrose has joined the ultra running brand as its first Global Product Line Manager. In this role, Ambrose will collaborate closely with the brand’s co-founders and Hong Kong-based leadership, helping to guide the brand’s growing number of road, trail, and hybrid offerings.

Mount to Coast was established in 2024 by a leadership team that includes Brooks veteran Yeti Zhang. Mount to Coast’s supercritical Nitrogen foaming process, invented by Zhang, has allowed the brand to release a succession of shoes that maintain their responsiveness and cushion for longer than shoes built with other materials. The resilient foams have made Mount to Coast shoes popular among ultra runners, with the brand’s best-selling hybrid H1 model taking seven of the top ten spots at the 2026 Cocodona 250.

Ambrose has worked in the endurance industry since 2015, including footwear roles at Nnormal, Black Diamond, and Salomon. He is based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
