Male Winner is Emisael Favela, Women’s Winner is Pamela Staton In 13.1, Male Winner is Tony Clavio, Women’s Winner is Emily Uhar in 5K
CHICAGO, June 7, 2014 – More than 4,500 runners ran in today’s 2014 Michelob ULTRA Chicago 13.1 Marathon®, produced by Life Time – The Healthy Way of Life Company, on a sunny morning at the South Shore Cultural Center. Male winner Emisael Favela, 37, Berwyn, completed the half-marathon in 1:12:45. Female winner Pamela Staton, 27, Chicago, completed the half-marathon in 1:23:32.
The Michelob ULTRA Chicago 13.1 Marathon®featured approximately 4,500 runners while the Life Time 5K attracted about 350 competitors.
“I’m feeling a little warm,” said Favela. “Pretty even race!”
“It felt pretty good,” said Staton. “The course was beautiful, at some parts it was difficult but I pushed through and tried to soak up the beauty of it. This was my first half of the year. I’m in the midst of training for a triathlon. ”
Tony Clavio, 29, from Chicago was the men’s Life Time 5K winner, clocking in at 20:17. Emily Uhar, 26, from Chicago was the women’s Life Time 5K winner, clocking in at 21:43.
More than 155 runners ran as part of Team Challenge, the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America’s endurance training and fundraising program, raising $450,000.
