Athletes selected will receive free race kits and discounted sign-up fees, and will help recruit new triathletes
DURHAM, North Carolina — The Virginia-Maryland Triathlon Series is excited to announce the launch of an ambassador program for athletes to compete in its slate of races and help recruit first-time triathletes to the sport.
Benefits of the program include:
- Discounted race sign-up fees
- VIP status at VTSMTS events
- Customized race kits
- Featured on the VTSMTS website and social media channels
Athletes interested in the program are asked to email VMTSambassador@gmail.com and answer a series of questions https://www.vtsmts.com/series-ambassadors-apply/ pertaining to their background in the sport and their level of interest in the program by Aug. 6 for early consideration. Applications submitted after Aug. 6 will also be considered.
The program’s timeline is as follows:
- Aug. 1-15: Ambassador applications sent to VTSMTS. Race management will contact potential ambassadors to schedule an interview.
- Sept. 9-10: VTSMTS ambassadors introduced at the Patriots Triathlon Festival in Williamsburg, Va.
“We are super excited to launch our search for an ambassador team that embraces the sport and the Virginia-Maryland Triathlon Series,” VTSMTS owner Greg Hawkins said. “We have a great family of athletes and are always looking for new, innovative ways to help more people get fit and have fun doing it!”
