Judge dismisses Camille Herron’s lawsuit against Canadian Running

September 3, 2026

In early 2026, ultrarunner Camille Herron brought a lawsuit against defendant Gripped Publishing Inc., publisher of Canadian Running, over a story we published in 2024. On Aug. 31, Judge Rosemary Marquez of the District Court for the District of Arizona granted the company’s motion to dismiss the suit, on the grounds that the court has no jurisdiction to hear the case in Arizona, since the company does not have business there.
