Infront Sports & Media has sold its majority stake in fitness-racing phenomenon Hyrox to a consortium led by private equity firm L Catterton, part of a deal that also includes Hyrox co-founders Christian Toetzke and Moritz Fürste, and Wndr, the venture capital firm co-founded by Jeffrey Katzenberg, who will join as partners.
Infront, a Switzerland-based sports marketing agency, first invested in Hyrox in 2019 and became a majority shareholder in 2022.
Toetzke and Fürste announced the deal in an Instagram post on Tuesday, following months of speculation that L Catterton was working to acquire the company. Athletech News
