Partnership will continue to include sharing training logs and selling training plans
FLAGSTAFF, (AZ) – HOKA ONE ONE Northern Arizona Elite has announced the signing of an official sponsorship renewal with Final Surge. The deal runs through the end of 2019 and ensures Final Surge will remain the official training log partner of HOKA NAZ Elite.
HOKA NAZ Elite and Final Surge have worked together since 2016. During that time the HOKA NAZ Elite athletes have continued to rise through the ranks of U.S. distance running. In 2018 alone, the team produced three USATF National Champions, top-ten finishes at the Boston and New York City Marathons, a 2:12 marathon on the men’s side and two sub 2:30 marathons from the women.
While partnering with HOKA NAZ Elite, Final Surge has continued to build upon its product and enhance the experience for both coaches and athletes. In addition to their award-winning iOS and Android apps, Final Surge has recently released a beta version of their new web platform which includes their new workout builder feature, allowing athletes and coaches to create structured workouts that can then be downloaded and completed on a fitness device, or executed through the new Final Surge Garmin ® Connect IQ ™ app.
HOKA NAZ Elite head coach Ben Rosario said he has been pleased with how Final Surge has helped HOKA NAZ Elite fulfill its mission.
“Part of our mission is to share every part of our journey,” Rosario said. “Final Surge has given us a platform to do that in a variety of ways including sharing our training logs, selling our training plans to the public and telling our stories via podcasts and blog posts.”
Final Surge co-founder Tim Surface added his thoughts on the partnership.
“It has been incredible to take part in helping the HOKA NAZ Elite athletes accomplish their goals and chase their dream of making an Olympic team. This is one way in which we are able to give back to the sport that we are so passionate about. This team is a true ambassador to the running community and we love supporting everything they do while creating new fans of track and road racing.”
The HOKA NAZ Elite roster currently includes the seventh-fastest American female marathoner of all time, Kellyn Taylor, as well as nine-time national champion, Aliphine Tuliamuk and reigning USATF 10k champion, Stephanie Bruce. The men’s roster includes 2:12 marathoners Aaron Braun, Kiya Dandena, Scott Fauble and Scott Smith. The team also recently announced the signing of five-time NCAA All American, Matt Baxter, from Northern Arizona University. Other athletes include Ben Bruce, Erin Clark, Grayson Murphy, Nick Hilton, Danielle Shanahan, Sid Vaughn and Alice Wright.
