TEMPE, Ariz. (August 29, 2019) – The Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series® is excited to announce Gin Blossoms as the headliner for the 2020 Rock ‘n’ Roll® Arizona Marathon & ½ Marathon. On Sunday, January 19, Gin Blossoms will take to the Rock ‘n’ Roll Concert Stage at Tempe Beach Park to close out the three-day musically themed event.

Gin Blossoms has undoubtedly left their mark on the Rock music map. The GRAMMY-nominated band’s fusion of Melodic Rock, Pop, Folk and Country elements has helped pave the way for the modern Rock of today. Fans around the world are very familiar with Gin Blossoms’ five-time Platinum breakthrough album New Miserable Experience, containing gems like “Until I Fall Away,” “Found Out About You,” “Hey Jealousy” and “Allison Road.” Those hit tracks were followed up by the Empire Records Platinum Soundtrack hit, “Til I Hear It From You.”

“I’m so happy to return home to Tempe to perform at Town Lake at the Rock ‘n’ Roll Arizona Marathon & ½ Marathon. Tempe is awesome — can’t wait,” said Robin Wilson lead vocalist for Gin Blossoms.

“Knocked out to play the Rock ‘n’ Roll Arizona event once again. Perfect time of year to enjoy music at Tempe Beach,” added Jesse Valenzuela guitarist for Gin Blossoms.

In 1996, the singles “Follow You Down” and “As Long As It Matters,” hit the radio again in a huge way, making their Congratulations I’m Sorry record another platinum success. Gin Blossoms’ hits have crossed over in five different formats, taking the airwaves by siege, and holding the MTV playlist captive for most of the ‘90s. Boasting record sales of over 10 million, the band continues to burn up the road performing over 120 tour dates per year. Don’t miss all these great hit songs, a sampling of new music, and a rockin’ the house down show!

“We are incredibly excited to have Gin Blossoms grace the stage at the conclusion of the 2020 Humana Rock ‘n’ Roll Arizona Marathon & ½ Marathon,” said Paul Huddle, Senior Regional Director for the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series. “Having a GRAMMY-nominated band that’s from the Valley of the Sun area perform at one of our premier events was a special opportunity to not only provide our fans a world-class performance but also highlight the incredible musical talent that’s produced here in the Valley.”
