Eugene Marathon Sets Registration Record for 20th Anniversary Race, Announces New Partnership with Let’s Do This

September 9, 2026

Partnership brings waitlist technology, streamlined entries for charity partners and AI-powered growth tools as demand for the milestone race reaches an all-time high

EUGENE, Oregon (September 9, 2026) /ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/  –The Eugene Marathon today announced 56% growth in registrations during the first week of entries for its 20th anniversary race, the fastest sellout pace in event history, alongside a new multi-year partnership with Let’s Do This, the AI Operating System for Endurance Events now powering the race from sign-up through event day.

The record week builds on three straight years of sellouts. The 2026 race sold out in mid-January, months earlier than the prior year’s race, which didn’t sell out until March, and this year’s registration opened Sept. 1 to unusually high inbound interest from runners eager to lock in a spot at the 20th anniversary event before it sells out again.

A partnership built for scale

As demand has grown, the Eugene Marathon set out to find a technology partner that could level up the event experience starting at registration – the first touchpoint most participants have with the event.

“As we continue to mature as an event, we’re committed to using the best tools behind the scenes,” said Ian Dobson, Eugene Marathon Race Director. “Let’s Do This gives us the technology to seamlessly manage our participant data and communications, and to continue enhancing the unforgettable experience our participants know to expect from the Eugene Marathon.”

New tools for runners and organizers

The partnership with Let’s Do This – whose technology powers iconic events, including the TCS London Marathon, Bank of America Chicago Marathon and Nike After Dark Tour – introduces a platform built to support Eugene’s growth.

A new waitlist system gives the Eugene Marathon better control over capacity as demand continues to climb, and a streamlined reserved-entry workflow simplifies how the event manages registrations for its charity partners.

“For two decades, Eugene Marathon has turned runner experience into one of the most in-demand start lines in the country,” said Sam Browne, CEO and Co-founder, Let’s Do This. “We’re here to match that ambition with the technology behind it – from a smoother way to register, to giving their Run for a Reason charities the tools to keep growing. Here’s to the next 20 years!”

Charity fundraising accelerates

The partnership comes at an exciting time for the race’s charity program. Run for a Reason, the Eugene Marathon’s fundraising initiative, has grown from $75,000 raised in 2022 to $627,000 this year – more than double the $284,000 raised last year alone.

AI behind the event day experience

Nova, Let’s Do This’s AI Growth Agent, will be giving the Eugene Marathon deeper data on sponsor support, more targeted marketing, and richer insight into who its runners are and what they want. As part of this data and analytics strategy, the event is migrating its subscriber base into Let’s Do This’s CRM and email system, consolidating participant communications onto a single platform.

Twenty years and counting

The 20th anniversary Eugene Marathon will take place the last weekend in April 2027. Registration opened Sept. 1, 2026 at www.eugenemarathon.com
