Dust Bowl 100, Putnam County CVB partner for inaugural race livestream

/ENDURANCE SPORTSWIRE/ – Poised to welcome 1,400 cyclists to the West Central Indiana roads of Putnam and Morgan counties on Saturday, July 25, the sixth-annual Dust Bowl 100 presented by Zipp will offer a new way to experience the action in 2026.

The Putnam County Convention and Visitors Bureau is partnering with race promoter Elevate Endurance for the inaugural Dust Bowl 100 Livestream powered by GoPutnam.com. The broadcast, presented live on YouTube, GoPutnam.com, and DustBowl100.com, will feature approximately six hours of race coverage commencing at 7:30 a.m. on July 25.

Indiana’s premier gravel bicycle race, the Dust Bowl 100 presented by Zipp has grown by leaps and bounds since it was first run in 2021. The race has been a sellout each year, even as each event has grown by 200 riders. The 2026 Dust Bowl will bring 1,400 cyclists from 34 states and six countries to the area.

“Our board and staff believe the Dust Bowl 100 is a great promotion opportunity in our quest to attract visitors to Putnam County,” said Jared Jernagan, director of the Putnam County CVB. “From views of our historic bridges to speeding down our pathway system to sweeping panoramas of our farm fields and wooded lanes, the broadcast is basically a rolling six-hour advertisement for Putnam County.

“Along the way, we hope to provide viewers with plenty of reminders of why you should ‘Put Yourself in Putnam County,’” Jernagan added. “I’d also like to thank our partners at Friends of the Park of Putnam County, whose generosity helped make the CVB sponsorship possible.”

The broadcast will be produced by 10dot1 Productions, an Indiana-based company with more than 15 years of experience livestreaming sporting events including rowing regattas, mountain bike racing, and even Ohio State University football.

While the race begins and ends in the Morgan County town of Eminence, 95% of the 100-mile route is in Putnam County and showcases some of the finest scenery and landscapes in the region. Widely recognized as one of the best gravel races in the U.S., the Dust Bowl attracts both beginning cyclists and professional racers to its 100-, 63- and 44-mile routes.

“While the Dust Bowl 100 has firmly established itself on the gravel calendar as a premier event in the Midwest, our goal is to continue building the race into one of the biggest and best in the entire country,” Race Promoter Marc O’Leary of Elevate Endurance said. “Offering our first prize purse and introducing a professionally-produced livestream are our two primary initiatives toward that goal for 2026.
