Cannondale to Shut Down Factory Race Program

Cannondale announced that the 2026 World Cup season will be the final year for Cannondale Factory Racing (CFR) after three decades of competition. The brand, owned by Amsterdam-based Pon Holdings, is pivoting from a traditional factory-racing model to “Cannondale Rogues,” a community- and influencer-led program.

The change comes as Pon last week announced plans to close Cannondale’s exclusive European assembly facility in Almelo, Netherlands, by late 2027, affecting about 120 jobs. Production will shift to shared multi-brand facilities. SGB MEDIA
