Resource for event directors provides insights based on high-profile events and best-in-class technology
Portland, OR – BibRave, the innovative marketing solution for races and endurance brands, recently launched The BibRave 100: A Definitive List of the Best Races in America. As part of the 2018 list, the company created Race Director Central, a resource for event directors containing case studies and best practices aimed at educating and informing event directors across the country, powered by MYLAPS Sports Timing. As an industry leader and event partner for hundreds of events around the world, MYLAPS is excited to share their findings and data with races directors.
Race Director Central focuses content on three main areas: Experience Insights, Live Data Insights, and a case study of MYLAPS’ work with the 2018 Boston Marathon.
Experience Insights focuses on how races can more effectively turn their participants into digital evangelists, creating memorable events and, most importantly, arming participants with technology solutions to share their experiences. Since 2016, over 2,000 events worldwide have used MYLAPS services like the EventApp, Results, Online Registration and personalized training plans to enhance the event experience of their athletes and fans. MYLAPS sees an average exposure time of 69 minutes per user on the EventApp, creating so many opportunities for races and sponsors to engage with runners and spectators on race day!
The Live Data Insights focuses on how to measure, manage, display and distribute real time information. With most of us looking at our phones 150 times per day (spending well over 4 hours per day), mobile engagement and data delivery is critical. Event directors only have one shot – and a narrow timeframe – to deliver accurate information and create positive raceday memories, and Race Director Central shares insights and case studies on how MYLAPS has help their race clients be more successful.
The 2018 Boston Marathon was one for the ages, and not just from an American spectator perspective. MYLAPS used a mix of best-in-class hardware and software solutions to offer live tracking, pace adjusted updates, push notifications, and information on past marathon achievements. Over 177,000 downloads and 10.4 million in-app screen views meant the Boston Marathon (and their sponsors) provided spectators and participants with easy-to-access and reliable updates on race day.
Event directors can download the resources above to learn more about how technology solutions can help them improve their race and participant experiences. For more information, contact Mike Schmitz at email@example.com.
