AltRed Partners with Davis Phinney Foundation’s Team DPF to Fuel Innovative Parkinson’s Programs

AltRed, an organic beet recovery supplement, helps raise $180K at the Tour of Sufferlandria, the “World’s greatest tour of a mythical nation,” in order to help people with Parkinson’s live well today.

Boulder, CO – AltRed is excited to announce their support of Team DPF and the Davis Phinney Foundation to enable innovative programs and research benefitting people with Parkinson’s. The partnership activated with The Sufferfest, a producer of cycling training videos and on-line resources, and their Tour of Sufferlandria event February 2-10, 2019. The virtual event raised over $180,000 for the Foundation’s mission to help people with Parkinson’s live well today. AltRed will also sponsor Team DPF and its calendar of events throughout the 2019 season.

“We’re thrilled to partner with AltRed and The Sufferfest to increase our impact for people with Parkinson’s,” said Davis Phinney, Olympic medalist and America’s winningest pro cyclist.  Phinney established the foundation in 2004 when diagnosed with early onset Parkinson’s. “While we’re all pushing for a cure, there are close to one million people in the United States living with Parkinson’s. Our focus is to give people the information and resources they need to take action right now to live well. In my experience, we can’t afford to wait. The sooner people begin to make exercise a daily habit, the better chance they have to slow progression and live at their best.”

“AltRed’s unique concentration of betalains is clinically proven to improve athletic performance. From more watts, to increased efficiency, to a stronger recovery, AltRed works. We’re proud to support the Davis Phinney Foundation and help their teams and athletes achieve their very best, every day,” said Founder Jeff Van Drunen.

Upcoming Team DPF events include The Iron Horse Classic, The Tour de Victory and Ride The Rockies plus many more. Team DPF welcomes riders and athletes of all abilities to come join the fun and excitement of riding with a supported team for a great cause.  Team members receive great benefits and can earn incentive prizes for their fundraising efforts.

AltRed is an athletic performance supplement made from a game-changing phytonutrient naturally found in beets called Betalain. This powerful, plant-based ingredient, exclusive to AltRed, improves oxygen delivery, mitigates lactic acid, and protects muscles from damage during activity.
