Three year title sponsorship brings premium apparel brand to renowned event
New York, NY (July 7, 2017) — The New York City Triathlon, produced by Life Time® Healthy Way of Life, is welcoming premium sports apparel brand, 2XU, to its ranks as title sponsor. Together with Life Time, the nation’s premier healthy living, healthy aging and healthy entertainment brand, 2XU will be a driving force in providing new innovations and format changes designed to make the sport simpler, more accessible and more exciting for new and veteran athletes. Set for Saturday, July 16, the 2XU New York City Triathlon is New York City’s only International distance triathlon and a renowned international event drawing Pros, ParaTriathletes and Age Group athletes from around the world. The race, which sold out in November 2016, is part of the 2017 Life Time Tri Series.

An estimated 4,000 triathletes are expected to participate in this year’s 2XU New York City Triathlon. Participants will swim 1.5 kilometers (.9 miles) in the Hudson River, bike 40 kilometers (25 miles) on the Henry Hudson Parkway, and run 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) through Central Park.
