LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Registration for the 2020 Little Rock Marathon officially opens Friday, June 14th. The 18th annual Little Rock Marathon Weekend will take place on Feb. 28 – March 1, 2020 in downtown Little Rock. The Little Rock Marathon benefits Little Rock Parks & Recreation.
Race weekend will start on Friday, Feb. 28 with the two-day Little Rock Marathon Health & Fitness Expo. Running and walking events will start on Saturday, Feb. 29 with the Little Rock 10K, Little Rock 5K, presented by Arkansas Federal Credit Union, and the Little Rockers Kids Marathon Final Mile, presented by the Hatcher Agency. The event continues Sunday, March 1 with the Little Rock Marathon, presented by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette and the Little Rock Half Marathon, presented by Baptist Health. Participants can choose to participate in the “Combo Challenge” and earn a bonus third medal by completing either the 5K or 10K on Saturday and any distance on Sunday.
In the past, races have sold out, due in part to the famously large finisher’s medals and fun race themes. Race officials anticipate another sell out before the end of the year.
If the race hasn’t sold out, registration will be available online through 11:59 p.m. CST Feb. 21, 2020. If a race sells out before the Feb. 21, registration for that race will no longer be available.
The Little Rock Marathon offers a free training program to individuals participating in the 2020 race. Official training begins Sept. 17 with a “build-up” training phase to start Aug. 19.
