With the arrival of the New Year, and in anticipation of the 30th edition of the People’s United Bank Vermont City Marathon & Relays, RunVermont is pleased to announce that UnTapped, Vermont’s All Natural Athletic Fuel will be energizing participants as they train and compete in Vermont’s largest one day sporting event.
“We’re really excited with this partnership as it showcases two of Vermont’s greatest assets, running and maple syrup!” relates Peter Delaney, Executive Director of RunVermont. “UnTapped has exceptional products, which are true to Vermont values as they are all natural. The best part is the great taste and knowing that the products contain no artificial flavors or sweeteners.” UnTapped produces several different energy fuels including maple based gels, waffles and drink mixes. All UnTapped products will be available to runners on course at both the People’s United Bank Vermont City Marathon and the Half Marathon Unplugged in April.
“Coming on board as the race’s official athletic fuel is the start of a dream partnership for UnTapped. We are excited to introduce runners coming from all over the world to the benefits of fueling with maple syrup, all while supporting one of Vermont’s premier athletic events. We can’t wait to see everyone on course in May,” comments Roger Brown, co-founder and partner at UnTapped.
The fuels of UnTapped are no secret to competitive athletes who’ve been in the know for some time. According to Josh Ferenc, a three time top Vermonter of the Marathon, “There’s no better way to fuel for this race than with a VT company and all natural Untapped Maple! For me, it feels very primal. The taste and consistency make for easy fueling, and it’s more delicious than anything synthetic I’ve had.”
