2018 Event to Include Paratriathlon National Championships and Wisconsin High School State Championships
After working closely with the Pleasant Prairie Triathlon for 7 years, Race Day Events (a Madison, WI based company) will take on the full production of this year’s race.
In addition to the Duathlon, Sprint, Olympic and Junior Triathlon events, Pleasant Prairie will serve as host to the Paratriathlon National Championships and the USAT Wisconsin High School State Championships. “We are beyond excited that USAT has selected the Pleasant Prairie Triathlon as the Championship race for both categories” says Ryan Griessmeyer, Race Director.
“The RecPlex very much looks forward to expanding our relationship in 2018 with Race Day Events, who has proven they are the experts in triathlon race events and have partnered with them for the successful management and running of the Pleasant Prairie Triathlon, Junior Triathlons, Iron Girl Triathlon, and future Championships Triathlon event,” says Craig Anderson, Director of Recreation at the Pleasant Prairie RecPlex.
The event is expected to attract over 1,000 athletes, with competitors traveling from all parts of the country. Over the course of the two-day event, Race Day Events’ team of industry experts will provide the race timing, event management and course support.
“We are confident that the current and future triathlon race event offerings are in good hands with Race Day Events and look forward to 2018 and beyond to meet and exceed the needs of the triathlon race community,” says Anderson.
Race Day Events continuously proves to be a leader in both the event and race management industries and is excited to expand its partnership with the Pleasant Prairie RecPlex. Following the June triathlon, Race Day Events will return to the RecPlex to produce Iron Girl, another 1,000-person event.
