ORLANDO, Fl. (April 11, 2018) – Orlando-based company, Nighthawk Running LLC, the creators of Night Runner 270, announce the rebrand of its consumer product line to Night Tech Gear. The rebrand occurs in tandem with officially securing a United States Patent for the bilateral winged design shoe light.
“After four years of waiting, we are ecstatic to officially have the Patent paperwork in our hands,” said co-founder, Doug Storer.
Originally launched as a Kickstarter project in 2015, Night Tech Gear has sold over 65,000 shoe lights in 50 countries and has appeared in over 100 media outlets including Shark Tank, Good Morning America, Outside Magazine, Runner’s World Magazine, and CBS Innovation Nation. The founders, Doug and Renata Storer, aim to launch multiple after-dark adventure products under the Night Tech Gear umbrella.
“From our inception, we set out to be an innovative company that encourages adventurers around the world to explore safely from dusk until dawn,” said Storer. “Our rebrand to Night Tech Gear allows us to launch a variety of lighting and safety products for consumers to enjoy.”
Night Tech Gear currently offers two products, Night Runner 270 and Night Trek Lights. Night Trek X, a third product partially funded through Kickstarter, launches early this summer and is available for pre-order.
