April 20th, 2016

Gill joins the Coast Team as the Athlete Ambassador

Charlottesville, Virginia, April 20, 2016– James Russell Gill III, Elite Endurance Athlete and CEO of Bad to the Bone Sports, has joined forces with Coast Products.  Thanks to his knowledge of the sport and experience, Gill will support the company’s mission to produce the best LED lights and tools to make people’s jobs and recreation easier, safer and more enjoyable.  As a professional long distance athlete and race director, Gill is known for his deep passion of long distance running and other ultra endurance challenges.  Gill is a Hoka One One, Clif Bar and Injinji sponsored elite athlete.

Established in 1919, Coast has called the Pacific Northwest home ever since Henry Brands founded the company in Portland, Oregon.  Over the years, Coast has excelled in making the best and most advanced tools for professionals and those who work like professionals.  LED flashlights and headlamps represent Coast’s newest product line, a perfectly suited product for long distance trail races.  The patented optic systems and advanced electronics make Coast professional LED flashlights and headlamps some of the brightest and most functional in the market.

“I am very excited to work with all the great people at Coast Products” says Gill.  “I was introduced to Coast while researching a better headlamp for the night portion of my ultra distance races.  The correct headlamp can be just as vital as the correct shoe when running long distances that take me well into the night.  Coast’s heritage in the outdoor industry give them a wealth of knowledge leading to some of the best products I’ve had the opportunity to put to test.  I look forward to working with the Coast team!”

“We at Coast recognize the importance of strong LED lighting for night runners and with that understanding, we were looking for an impactful way to connect with that valuable group of consumers. That search led us to Gill and we could not be more excited to have him represent our brand as a Coast Ambassador. As a leader in this community, we look forward to the valuable feedback from Gill along with him using our products in races all over the world.” – Collin, Associate Marketing Manager

Gill will test Coast products during the events he competes in and the events he directs as CEO of Bad to the Bone Sports.  “I look forward to testing the whole product line and giving Coast my feedback to continue their innovation” says Gill.  “Both long distance running and race directing are very taxing activities and Coast flashlights, headlamps, lanterns, knives and multi-tools will make each one of my tasks that much easier”.
