Featured Speaker Series Represents 7 of the Last 8 Summer Olympic Games
Four Olympians representing three different countries and seven of the last eight summer Olympiads will headline the Monumental Health and Fitness Expo, taking place on Thursday, November 3 and Friday, November 4 at the Indiana Convention Center. Olympians from the United States, Australia, and Canada will highlight the two-day event that also serves as packet pick up for the 10th Annual CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon, Half Marathon and 5K.
Featured Speakers Include:
- Krista Duchene – “Canada’s Marathon Mom” has a personal best of 2:28:32, making her the second fastest woman in Canadian History. A mother of three, Duchene is a registered dietician and multiple-time National Champion. In April of 2014, she fractured her femur mid-race, only to return to the sport and qualify for the 2016 Olympics eleven months later. Krista represented Canada at the 2016 Olympics.
- Lee Troop – Lee Troop’s career accolades include an Australian Record in the 5000m, multiple World XC and World Championships, and two sub-2:10 marathons. Today, Troop is the head coach of the Boulder Track Club High Performance Team in Boulder, Colorado. Lee represented Australia in the 2000, 2004, and 2008 Olympics.
- Todd Williams – The only person to go to the Olympics for both Track and Field and Jiu-Jitsu, Todd has developed the “RunSafer” program to educate all individuals, from children to adults, on the importance of self-defense and safety awareness. Todd’s accolades include being an eight time All-American and earning four SEC titles at the University of Tennessee, as well as earning a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Todd represented the United States in the 1992 and 1996 Olympics.
- Terry Brahm – Indiana Native Terry Brahm was the 1986 NCAA Champion in the 5000m and is a member of the Indiana University Hall of Fame. He retired from competitive running in 1992 and has resided in Indianapolis ever since. For the past 28 years, Brahm has taught and coached in various capacities at Indianapolis’ Ben Davis High School. Terry represented the United States in the 1988 Olympics.
The Monumental Health and Fitness Expo speaker lineup will also include Elite Athlete Coordinator and Pace Team Coordinator Matt Ebersole, Beyond Monumental founder Carlton Ray, a representative from Franciscan Health and locally-based podcast host, Lindsey Hein.

The 10th Annual CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon, Half Marathon and 5K will take place on Saturday, November 4, 2017. Registration is open online through 10/31 and is available at the 2017 Monumental Health and Fitness Expo.
