Aspaeris Donates to Runners’ Charities: The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and The Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults

March 1st, 2012

Aspaeris encourages running for charities and thanks Facebook friends with two donations.

NEW HAVEN, CT—March 1, 2012—Aspaeris, a new company that provides injury-prevention compression sportswear for female athletes, is pleased to announce donations to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training and to Revolution3 Run Across America benefiting The Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults. Aspaeris randomly selected from their Facebook friends three runners and donations were made today to the runners’ charity of choice.

“I am running two marathons this May in honor of those battling cancer and I have been raising money for the Leukemia-Lymphoma Society. I lost my aunt to cancer last March after an extremely short battle. The thought of what she went through keeps me going. I know the pain I feel when running is nothing compared to what cancer patients endure,” says selected runner Melissa Strautins from Salt Lake City, Utah.

The other two runners are Jamie Bull from Medford, MA and Colleen Kingery from Baltimore, MD. Both are running for Revolution3 Run Across America which benefits The Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults.

Prior Aspaeris donations include $5,400 in Aspaeris Pivot Shorts (APS™) to Kohl’s Cares for Kids Sports Injury Prevention hospital partners. The Aspaeris Pivot Short (APS™) is the only ACL-injury prevention compression short designed specifically for females. Prior research shows that, combined with good coaching technique, APS™ may help prevent tears to the anterior cruciate ligament and speed recovery from knee injury, as well as enhance athletic performance.

About Aspaeris
