Pro Cycling Stage Race Will Extend International Coverage with TourTracker®
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – FOX Sports Networks (FSN) has signed a three-year agreement to be the official U.S. broadcast partner for the Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah professional cycling stage race. FSN will provide a total of 18 hours of national programming, including 12 hours of live coverage, for the Tour of Utah. All six days of programming, August 6-11, 2013, will be produced in high definition for cycling fans to follow the first significant UCI 2.1-rated stage race in North America following the Tour de France.
Live race coverage will also be available online and with mobile applications via Tour Tracker® powered by Adobe®. At every turn, Tour Tracker will deliver cycling fans access to comprehensive live coverage including broadcast video, real-time GPS location, speed, slope and elevation data, and social media feeds. A portal for all Tour Tracker powered by Adobe® coverage will be available during race week at TourofUtah.com.
FSN affiliated regional sports networks reach more than 70 million homes across the country. The live coverage of the “American’s Toughest Stage RaceTM” is scheduled daily from 4-6 p.m. (ET), which will coincide with the daily stage finish and award ceremonies. A one-hour highlight program will be televised on FSN at 11 p.m. (local time). Due to FSN coverage of Major League Baseball with its regional networks, cycling fans should check local listings to confirm air times. The FSN partnership will continue through 2015.

Regional coverage of the Tour of Utah in the Western states will be broadcast by ROOT Sports. ROOT Sports Rocky Mountain region is based in Denver and is the cable home of the Utah Jazz and Colorado Rockies, among a broad roster of sports programming. The local broadcast affiliate will be KJZZ TV, an independent broadcast television station which serves households across the entire state of Utah, as well as parts of five other western states.

For the first time in the nine-year history of the Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah professional cycling event, the race will span almost the entire length of Utah from the red rock country near world-famous Bryce Canyon National Park in the south to the renowned ski resorts of the Wasatch Front in the north. Stage One of the Tour of Utah, Tuesday, August 6, will take place from Brian Head to Cedar City, and the overall finish for Stage Six, Sunday, August 11, will be hosted by Park City. In the coming weeks the Tour plans to announce the teams which have accepted invitations to race, as well as detailed routes and race mileage for all six stages.
